One of the processions with more character from our town

On Sunday 27 the procession was held in honour of the Virgen de la Cabeza in the neighborhood of La Estación.

On Sunday many citizens and neighbours approached the Barriada of la Estación to accompany a procession of Virgen de la Cabeza.

After the Mass, the small throne toured some of the streets of the Barriada up to the forecourt of Estación, where the perotes "worshipped" the image. In the procession was attending, besides the Mayor of Álora and councilors, representatives of the Civil Guard, the local police and the Spanish army who accompanied the throne throughout its journey.

The Department of Culture of Álora offered to all those who wanted to attend the celebration free buses, both on outward and return journeys. This helped to significantly increase the inflow of public to the procession which even before this had many devotees.
