Visit to Solar Orchard Campillos
Students from the School yesterday visited the Campillos's photovoltaic park.
The visitors were received by the Mayor of Campillos and the councillors of Environment and of Local Development. Later technical specialists of the photovoltaic plant guided the pupils and explained the characteristics of the modern facilities.
Campillos inaugurated its solar photovoltaic park last June 18 created by the company Abantia Sun Energy. This photovoltaic park occupies a surface of 6, 8 hectares, equivalent to eight soccer fields, and it will generate energy for approximately 3.000 housings a year. This is the first facility of its kind to be opened in the province of Malaga and its adequacy, the volume of land that has moved was 40,000 cubic meters. The plant has an output of 1.8 megawatts (mw) and is in the Way-Campillos Fuente de Piedra.
The orchard has 1,224 solar mobile structures of two positions. Each structure has a sail of two rows with five panels, with a usable area for mounting the photovoltaic panels of up to 12.72 square meters. The facility consists of 12,150 silicon photovoltaic modules, which capture the sun's rays transforming them into electrical energy. The park evacuates photovoltaic energy through an electricity line of 25 kilowatts (kw), called Campillos, from the substation "Humilladero." The connection is made through a new support where the conversion air-ground with all security measures established by the legislation. The energy generated is finally injected into the electricity grid and sold to companies that are responsible for their distribution to consumers. This facility will export 3,176,411 kw annually.
Soon in Álora we will possess a plant of solar power, thus making use of a clean and healthy energy as that of the Sun.
