The city of Álora cedes some land to the church for parish housing units and pastoral own parish and the parish church of “Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación." The venue will be the party of the Dehesa de Flores, site of the Quebradero and trance of the Peñon.
As mentioned by Antonio Dorado Soto, bishop of Malaga, the Church has changed a lot and we are in a more pluralistic society, hence, the parishes had to adapt to meet changing needs of a population that, in the words of the Bishop " is not going to Mass when the bels toll " The Bishop spoke of Álora as "a privileged city " and with a heritage rich in history as well as cultural and artistic events in which religion has a key role.
On the other hand the Diocese of Malaga extends the free use of the "School of Christ" (current museum "Rafael Lería) for museum purposes and also gaves the right surface of the site of Zapata street for the support and expansion of the museum "Rafael Lería."
The Municipal Museum "Rafael Lería" keeps part of our people's memories . This is a place where we can learn the history and artistic heritage of Perote. With the agreement that was signed today it will be p[ossible to expand the facilities and offer visitors a wider range of cultural offerings, exhibitions and a higher quality, if possible. Jose Sanchez, Mayor of Álora, said that collaboration of two so important entities for Perotes, such as the Church and the council, is essential for the development of culture and social welfare.
